DOCS CORE CONCEPTS

Core concepts

Five nouns run the whole platform. Learn these and every screen makes sense.

Community

A building you operate. Everything in Sentinel hangs off a community: its pricing snapshots, competitor set, reviews, photos, leads, residents, and market context. Communities carry a short code (like VI for Vista Del Sol) that appears as a chip throughout the app, plus a ZIP that powers ZIP-precise market data.

Person

One human, one record, forever — think of a contact that never gets re-created. A Person starts as a Lead, may become a Resident, and eventually Alumni. The stage pipeline is: Lead → Toured → Applied → Approved → Resident → Notice → Alumni, with Lost as a side exit. The record keeps the permanent timeline of touches (notes, calls, tours, emails, events), open tasks, and consent flags for email and SMS.
✦ Stages drive everything: a person's "kind" (lead / resident / alumni) is derived from their stage automatically, and moving stages writes a system touch so the timeline always tells the story.

Memory

A one-line durable fact worth knowing at the next contact: "two huskies — needs ground floor", "works night shifts at Dominican". Memories are not fields — there is no custom-field graveyard to maintain. Add them manually in one line, or let AI suggest them from the timeline; you keep or dismiss each suggestion. Archived memories disappear from view but are never deleted.

Renewal

A first-class object for every resident lease end. The window engine watches the calendar and advances each renewal through T-120 → T-90 → T-60 → T-30 → expired, creating the playbook task at each step ("open the conversation", "send the offer", "follow up", "final push"). Each renewal row shows the resident's rent against the area median from public data, so the offer conversation starts informed. Outcomes — renewed, gave notice, month-to-month — are recorded in one click.

Mission

A campaign brief that owns its outputs — like a folder that builds its own contents. You write the goal ("Spring move-in special — Vista del Sol, 2BR, one month free"); Sentinel plans the campaign, designs the flyers from your approved photos, drafts the posts and captions, and keeps everything attached to the mission so output never gets orphaned.
